Ms. Vicki: Lead Academic & Kindergarten Teacher

Vicki Tubbs: Lead Academic & Kindergarten Teacher

My name is Ms. Vicki. I was born and raised on a little farm in MO. After high school, I attended Southwest Baptist University where I majored in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Art Appreciation.

I have been living in Texas since 1994. I am married to a wonderful man Scott. We are blessed to have five children. Three of them are now adults and exploring life on their own. Our youngest, Scotty is in High School and keeps me busy going to school and social activities.

I have been teaching since 1989. I have taught pre-school, Kindergarten and K-4th Math and Reading Intervention at a public ISD.

My love and passion is working with children and helping them succeed in everything they do.

When I am not chauffeuring my own children around to all of their school/sport activities, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, drawing, cooking and going on long runs.

I love working with children and that's why I am blessed to be part of the MAS team. My classroom is a set up as a creative, fun, positive and safe learning environment for the students. Each student will be working on a variety of different skills that will prepare them for the upcoming year.

I look forward to another wonderful year at Musical Arts Schoolhouse.

Ms. Monica: Preschool Spanish Teacher

Monica Mendoza: Preschool Spanish Teacher, Musical Arts Schoolhouse

Hi my name is Ms Monica and I was born in El Salvador, a small country in Central America.

I live in McKinney with my husband Jose Carlos and seven year old daughter Isabella who is the center of our universe.

I graduated from Colegio San Francisco with a Major in Mathematics and Physics, which I strongly believed to be my calling at that time. However, soon after graduating I realized that I loved working with children and that it was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

This will be my third year with the Musical Arts Schoolhouse.I enjoy working with our students because it amazes me to watch them learn, grow and develop the skills they will need to succeed in life.

I enjoy spending time with my family; we love to travel especially abroad, because it gives us an opportunity to learn about different cultures. I also enjoy yoga, going to movies, cooking and our "Evening Family Walks" that of course include our dog Paco.

Ms. Resillas: Lead Music Teacher

Lead Music Teacher, Musical Arts Schoolhouse

I am Rachél Lopez Resillas and I grew up in Mexico City, Mexico. I recently moved here from South Carolina to join the Faculty.

I started music at a very young age and majored in piano, and have taught early childhood music to groups of children at a studio in South Carolina.

I also teach private and group piano in the afternoons at FSMPA. I look forward to teaching your children here at MAS!

I live here in Celina with my husband and look forward to inspiring your child here at MAS.

Ms. Lina: Lead Art Teacher

Lina Rincon-Hoover: Lead Art Teacher, Musical Arts Schoolhouse

My name is Ms. Lina. I was born in Colombia and moved to the U.S. in 1999. After living in Tampa Florida since my move, I relocated to Frisco in 2012 with my husband and daughter who is now in college here in the area.
I hold a B.A. in Art with a concentration in Interior Design, a Bilingual CDA Certification, accreditation by the NAFCC and I also hold a certification in Digital Photography from the University of South Florida. I am currently licensed as a Childcare Center Director in both Texas and Florida.

I have worked in Early Childhood Education as well as in Art since 1998. During this time I have taught preschool, pre-k and kindergarten. I have also been a Center Director and an Assistant Director along with owning my own Daycare Facility in Tampa. All of these have allowed me to touch the lives of many children.
When I am not traveling to watch my Daughter play softball, I can usually be found enjoying time with my family or doing photography which is a passion of mine. While I miss Florida, especially the beaches, I love Frisco, the Dallas area and all of the exciting things it has to offer.
I am very excited to be a part of the Music Arts Schoolhouse where I can connect my two true loves, Art and teaching children, and pass along my knowledge and skills. Children are our future and they need the opportunity to explore new things and experience all that life has to offer. I am happy that in some small way I can help give them that opportunity.
